There is this amazing family owned cattle ranch in Southern Idaho, Alderspring Ranch. They inspired this painting allowing me to use their reference for my painting. The dog however; belonged to a sheep rancher in North Idaho. Keen and his owner rested while waiting to make camp. Taking a few moments of rest from a working lifestyle that continues through the generations.
