"Art should influence your path through life. It can make you feel an emotion; so strongly that you need to pause on your journey, and just feel. Any piece that pulls me away from my trajectory, makes me stop, is something that I deem successful. I may love it, I may hate it, it can make me think or just exist but the moment, that is what I see as a success. When people are rushing by and need to stop for a moment to stare at my work, I feel as though I have arrived as an artist."
Make it stand out
Wind Dancer 20x26 Original Pastel
Life is a series of moments that chain together into a lasting memory. The breath of wind waiting to lift a promise of life to another place, to begin anew. Such are many life experiences, events that can lead to a promise of a future.
Now living in Spokane, Washington; T discovered a source of material around Lake Pend Oreille that astounds her. There are rivers, forests, amazing vistas and lifestyles that beg to be captured in art. While she loves to paint North Idaho, during her residency at the Spokane Art School; she learned to love the skies over head of the Inland Northwest. She has been painting for over 10 years and is excited about what that will mean for her growth in the coming years. She can be critical of her work but will always let herself get lost in the moment of creation. "T" enjoys painting her clients “furbabies” as well and is very happy to take commissions of most subject matter as long as the images belong to her or her clients.
“Art that has no heroes, no message; only a moment of peace and serenity. Art that pulls people off their busy path and gives them an unexpected moment of peace. I don't believe in influencing the way people think; rather, give a soul momentary release of stress and worries to help recharge a person.”
